The New Face of Nokia Lumia in 2013, Without Plastic

Not yet four months since it was first introduced, Lumia 920 will soon change the face. Nokia reportedly is preparing a successor to the smartphone Lumia 920 to be released in 2013.

As reported by TheVerge, successor Lumia 920 is provided with the code name of the Catwalk, and will use the casing material “not plastic” but aluminum. Unlike the previous Lumia series using polycarbonate material.

Although the use of materials from aluminum, the Nokia Catwalk mentioned will be lighter and thinner than the Lumia 920. Catwalk hardware specifications will be exactly the same with the Lumia 920, but that is different is the casing material.

A source “close” to these Nokia plan, said that Lumia “aluminum” will be the opening of some Nokia Phone Windows 8 will be launched in 2013. However, the aluminum casing is only likely to be available in the Nokia Lumia Catwalk models only. So not all Lumia 2013 models will use the material “not plastic”.

If the rumors are true, Nokia seems to want to compete with the iPhone 5 which also uses aluminum in the body of the phone. In addition, this step is carried Nokia to address user complaints that the Lumia 920 was too heavy and thick.

Currently there is no detailed information on the Catwalk Lumia, including his name, whether Lumia 930 or Lumia 990.
