Lumia 520, Windows Phone 8 Cheapest


Nokia wants to reach all segments of the smart phone market in the Windows Phone sales strategy. For lower-middle segment, Nokia has just released the Lumia 520 at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 in Barcelona, Spain, Monday (25/02/2013).

Lumia 520 is the successor to the Lumia 510. The difference, Lumia 520 has been using Windows Phone operating system version 8.

Lumia 520 is wrapped in a choice of yellow, blue, red, white and black. The screen is a kind of 4-inch WVGA LCD display, 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of internal memory. Media storage can be expanded with an external MicroSD memory card.

With a 5MP rear camera sensor but no front camera for video call. It also does not support NFC and can not be used for wireless charging, like Lumia 920.

Lumia 520 becomes the cheapest Windows Phone 8 phones today, with the price of around 183 U.S. dollars. This phone seems to be focused on emerging markets. Are you interested?
